Ayurveda translates literally as the “wisdom of life” and is a holistic approach providing the tools for maintaining our well-being. Ayurveda teaches us to recognize the qualities of nature and how they present themselves in our bodies.
Ayurveda offers us tools in the form of food and lifestyle choices for maintaining health and overall well-being that are uniquely tailored to one’s unique mind/body type. Ayurveda recognizes health is upheld by three governing pillars: getting adequate sleep, managing exercise specific to your own body, and maintaining an appropriate diet that is not only specific to you but also changes with the seasons.
